Collier County Victim & Senior Advocacy Unit |
Collier County Victim & Senior Advocacy Unit of the Collier County Sheriff’s Office has many programs designed to enhance the quality of life for senior citizens in our community. Such programs include: Project Lifesaver, which aids in the search for seniors who wander from caregivers; Communities Against Senior Exploitation (CASE), a program that creates partnerships between churches and senior civic groups to provide vital crime prevention information and education through presentations, alerts and a fraud hotline; Senior Connection, where volunteers call seniors who live alone during the week to ensure they are okay; and, the File of Life Program, an informational sheet that provides vital health information to first responders. Additionally, members of the unit are specially trained to assist seniors who are victims of crimes including property crimes and elder abuse, neglect or exploitation. (Phone 239-252-0722)
